Since Omegle shut down, everyone's chasing the same thing: that thrill of talking to a real stranger. Larpmegle keeps the live, random, face-to-camera spark — and gives it a reason to stick around. It's random video chat turned into a game.
Random video chat — but you actually stay
The problem with most Omegle clones is the same problem Omegle had: there's no reason not to skip. Larpmegle fixes that by making every match a game. You pick a topic, you get a turn, and there's a winner. Two players argue a random topic on camera; a third judges who sold it best. Suddenly the stranger across from you is someone to win over, not someone to skip.
What you get that the clones don't
- A point: a topic, a turn, and a winner — not aimless one-on-ones.
- 3-player format: two debaters and a judge, so it's never a dead-air staring match.
- Ranked progress: earn ELO and climb separate larper and judge leaderboards.
- Truly peer-to-peer: video is never recorded or stored on a server.
- Instant + no download: play as a guest in your browser, desktop or mobile.
Same spark, less doomscrolling
You still meet strangers. You still get that unscripted, anything-can-happen energy. You just trade infinite skipping for ~100-second rounds with a goal — which, it turns out, is a lot more fun and a lot less of a time-sink. It even doubles as public-speaking practice without feeling like practice.
Is Larpmegle a good Omegle alternative?
Larpmegle is an Omegle-style random video chat with strangers, but with a point: instead of endless skipping, you're matched into a quick game where two players argue a random topic and a third judges the winner. It's free, needs no download, runs in your browser, and is 18+.
How is Larpmegle different from Omegle and apps like it?
Classic random chat drops you into an aimless one-on-one you skip in seconds. Larpmegle gives every match a goal: a topic, a turn, and a winner. You're matched into a trio (two debaters, one judge), rounds last about 100 seconds, and you earn an ELO rank. Video is peer-to-peer and never recorded or stored on a server.
Is Larpmegle safe and private?
Live audio and video are sent peer-to-peer between players via WebRTC — we don't record, watch, or store your stream. It's adults-only (18+) with in-match reporting and on-device safety checks. As with any live video, assume anything on camera can be clipped, so never show what you wouldn't want seen.
